Rebuilding Ixploria From the Ground Up

Open the original Ixploria site and you’ll notice that its visual style is only part of what makes it work. The layout, typography, spacing, imagery, and interactions all contribute to how the experience feels.

Rebuilding it from the ground up wasn't simply about recreating what was already there. The challenge was understanding the decisions behind the interface and translating them into a cleaner, more flexible Framer build.

Rebuilding starts with understanding

Typography determines hierarchy. Spacing creates rhythm. Containers control structure. Interactions guide attention. Even small details like image cropping and hover states can change how the entire experience feels.

Instead of copying individual elements, the process starts by understanding how those elements work together.

The details make the rebuild feel intentional.

Where rebuilding gets complicated

Recreating an existing website becomes challenging when the visual details don't follow obvious rules.

  • Desktop layouts don't always translate directly to smaller screens.

  • Typography can change the entire spacing system when recreated.

  • Images need different sizing and cropping at different breakpoints.

  • Interactions have to feel natural rather than simply copied.

  • Repeated sections need reusable structures instead of duplicated layers.

  • Desktop layouts are copied without considering tablet and mobile.

A quick test

Compare the two versions side by side at multiple viewport sizes. If the structure, hierarchy, spacing, and interactions still feel consistent, the underlying system is probably working.

What makes a rebuild feel like the original

The strongest recreations don't depend on copying every individual layer. They identify the visual patterns that define the experience and rebuild those patterns consistently.

Shared components keep repeated elements aligned. Responsive constraints allow layouts to adapt naturally. Carefully chosen typography maintains the original hierarchy, while interactions add the same sense of movement and feedback.

Rebuilding is more than starting over

What needs to stay? What can be simplified? Which interactions actually improve the experience? Which parts should become reusable components?

The result isn't simply another copy of the original. It's a rebuilt system that keeps the original character while giving every part a clearer purpose.
